Description
The Flukers Black Nightlight Incandescent Bulb is the perfect solution for providing your cold-blooded reptiles with the essential radiant heat they need for proper metabolism. With a bulb life of up to 3,500 hours, these long-lasting bulbs are designed to emit no visible light, supporting your reptiles' day/night cycle.

Radiant heat is crucial for creating a healthy habitat for reptiles. Without the appropriate environmental temperature range (ETR), reptiles are unable to regulate their core body temperature, making them more susceptible to chronic infections. The ideal ETR varies from species to species, so it is always advisable to consult with a pet professional for lighting recommendations specific to your pet.

The Flukers Black Nightlight bulbs emit low levels of supplemental UV radiation, providing reptiles with the heat they need during the night cycle. UV light plays a vital role in regulating behavior and stimulating Vitamin D production in reptiles. While visible light allows humans and animals to see within their environment, it is essential to combine the Flukers 5.0 UVB and 10.0 UVB Sun Glow Coil Bulbs with Flukers incandescent light bulbs to mimic natural sunlight.

To install the Flukers incandescent bulb, gently fasten it into a Fluker Clamp Lamp or Hood, or any UL-approved incandescent fixture. Remember to securely attach the bulb before plugging in the light fixture into an electrical socket. Please note that the light fixture should be positioned outside of the reptiles' enclosure to prevent the risk of life-threatening thermal burns from contact with an exposed light bulb.

It is important to establish an appropriate ETR by using multiple incandescent lights if required. To monitor the temperature within the reptiles' environment, we recommend using a Flukers thermometer. Additionally, reptile behavior is directly influenced by the photoperiod (light cycle), and it is crucial to provide suitable intervals of light and darkness. Flukers recommends a 12-hour day/12-hour night light cycle, utilizing a Flukers Daytime bulb during the daytime cycle.

For reptiles that rely on a source of direct radiant heat and the benefits of both UV and visible light, the Flukers Black Nightlight Incandescent Bulb is an excellent choice. Embrace the natural needs of your reptilian friends and create an environment that supports their overall well-being.
